cron_jobs ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as an Australian resident.

1. Who we are

cron_jobs is an Australian Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that automates your weekly job search. We scan Australian job boards on your behalf, score matches against your preferences, and generate tailored application documents — resumes, cover letters, and screening answers — delivered to your inbox once a week.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us when you create an account and use the platform:

• Identity and contact information — your name and email address used to create your account.
• Career documents — CVs, portfolios, and LinkedIn exports you upload to the platform.
• Job preferences — role titles, industries, salary expectations, seniority, and location preferences you configure.
• Generated documents — resumes, cover letters, and screening answers the platform creates on your behalf.
• Usage data — how you interact with the platform (pages visited, features used, schedule settings).
• Payment information — billing details processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information solely to deliver the cron_jobs service:

• To run your weekly job search and generate your application documents.
• To score and rank job postings against your stated preferences.
• To send you your weekly results and any service-related notifications.
• To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
• To improve the platform through aggregated, de-identified usage analytics.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Where your data is stored and processed

Your data lives and is processed on our own private servers. We do not store your information on shared public cloud infrastructure. The only third-party service that receives data in connection with your use of cron_jobs is Open Router, which we use to access AI language models for document generation. Open Router processes only the content necessary to generate your documents and is bound by its own privacy obligations. No other third party receives your personal information.

5. Recruiter visibility (opt-in)

You may choose to make your profile visible to Australian recruiters through our opt-in recruiter feature. If you opt in:

• Recruiters can see your role preferences, seniority, salary range, and location — not your full CV or contact details.
• You can enable contact-detail sharing separately, at your discretion.
• You can opt out at any time and your profile will be removed from the recruiter list immediately.

By default your profile is private and not visible to recruiters.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we will delete your account data within 30 days of your request. Aggregated, de-identified analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Your data is stored on private servers with access controls, encrypted at rest, and transmitted over HTTPS.

8. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Withdraw consent (such as recruiter opt-in) at any time.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice within the platform. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
